On Sunday, October 4, 2015, the 78th International Eucharistic Rosary March was held in Pittsburgh. JTDMF's members, Pat, Bernadette, Sister Jean, Renee, Mary Jane (and family) and Celeste attended. Pat and Bernadette processed the two icons. Fr. Tony Gargotta gave a profound homily on marriage. Fr. Tony blessed the four corners of the city and all 4 mysteries of the Holy Rosary were prayed as we processed with Jesus throughout the city. First Communicants spread rose petals before Our Lady of Fatima and the Blue Army was on hand to lift Our Lady high to honor her in the Eucharistic procession. Surely great blessings were brought to the city this day and for many days to come! Legion of Mary members, Linda Nevins and Joanne Boyle and their team did an exceptional job of bringing this beautiful day to fruition.
On the Vigil of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, Saturday, October 3, presentation was made at St. Francis of Assisi for their "Following Christ" retreat. Chairman, Mary Jane Jurofcik, also Treasurer of JTDMF, welcomed the participants and introduced Fr. Joe Luisi, pastor of North American Martyrs Parish. Fr. Joe spoke profoundly on The World, The Flesh and The Devil. Pat introduced the newly rendered statue of Mary, Ark of The New Covenant and icon and explained the Family Eucharistic Holy Hour (“FEHH”) program. She encouraged all attending to share the "mission" and blessings of beginning FEHH's in their parishes.
