Kate, a lifelong friend of Foundation President and Co-founder, Pat Polachek, is a member of St. Damien of Molokai Parish in Monongahela, Pennsylvania.  Kate serves her parish community as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, and sings in the choir.  She has also served as leader of a Contemporary Worship Group contributing both vocally, and with guitar or piano. She has hosted and facilitated Bible Study Growth Groups and has teamed with her husband to present segments of the Pre-Cana Conferences at St. Mary Parish in Annapolis, Md.

• Married to Brigadier General Dave Papak, USMC (Ret.), who serves on the FJDM Advisory Board, they reside in Monongahela, Pa., enjoying three grown children, and five grandchildren. 
• Kate and Dave are Ambassadors for the Travis Manion Foundation, a National organization honoring and helping veterans, first responders, Fallen Heroes and their families.  Together they work to strengthen communities by presenting seminars to various youth groups teaching leadership and moral courage.
