On August 12, 2016, Fr. Joseph Mary Wolfe, MFVA, Chaplain at EWTN, graciously received the 35th anniversary gift of liturgical vestments.
The Feast of the Assumption marks the 35th Anniversary of EWTN! Here is the gift of the new liturgical vestments for the Franciscan Friars at EWTN that will be worn by the main celebrant. They were lovingly made by Sue Newman of Morning Glory Embroidery in collaboration with Preborn Jesus Ministry, Jesus - The Divine Mercy Foundation, Rev. Mother Rose Catherine Marshall, F.J. of Mary Ark of the Covenant Monastery in Steubenville, OH, and EWTN viewers.
On Monday, August 15, for the Feast of the Assumption Mass, we heard the words of Scripture proclaimed: "Then God's temple in heaven was opened and the ark of the Covenant was seen within His temple... And a great sign appeared in heaven, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and on her head a crown of twelve stars."
